The following images of the Sun were captured by German astrophotographer Dr. Werner Möhler on 23rd of May, 2010. Dr. Möhler uses DMK 31AU03.AS astronomy camera for his astrophotography.
This is what he wrote in the e-mail:
Last weekend I made some pictures of the sun with a new setup out of a 102/1000 Frauenhofer refractor (shortend), the h-alpha filter of a PST and the BF30 Coronado Filter. I used the DMK 31AU03.AS b/w USB with IC Capture.AS, stacking 300/1500 with Registax and finishing/coloring with PS5 and Nik-Software Viveza. The two pictures are first light shots with this setup. I still have to optimize the h-alpha filter position. The sunspots AR 1072, taken around 15:00 local time, May 23, 2010. Because of difficulties adjusting the h alpha filter I had to cut the pictures.
