The Imaging Source Sponsoring Omega Envoy in Google Lunar x PRIZE

The Google Lunar X PRIZE is a global competition that offers great incentive to lunar exploration projects. A total of $30 million in prizes are available to the first privately funded teams to safely land a robot on the surface of the Moon and have that robot travel 500 meters over the lunar surface and send images and data back to the Earth.

The Imaging Source is sponsoring Omega Envoy, the only student formed and led team, with cameras and lenses for its dodecahedral camera navigation system. Omega Envoy's parent organization Earthrise Space Inc will test this system during this summer's Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station (FMARS) located in Devon Island in Canada.

Here is the quote from John Berryman, General Manager of The Imaging Source USA.

As the leading supplier for the Amateur Astronomical Imaging Market, The Imaging Source is dedicated to the support of all facets of space exploration and science education.

It is our pleasure to offer sponsorship to Omega Envoy and we wish the team great success in this international competition!
