Mars Photos with the New DMK 21AU618.AS

Blogged by Aurélie Le Fort-Beunink on February 23, 2012 and tagged with Sample Images, Mars.

My name is Francisco Vidal Pedro López, and this camera is my second Astronomy Camera from The Imaging Source and I am very satisfied. If the DMK 21AU04.AS was a good machine, the sensitivity of the DMK 21AU618.AS is spectacular. Allowing done, with shots accumulated RGBL of only 2 minutes, photos like the one I sent of Mars, from my urban observatory, with typical light pollution of a city of 250000 people, some turbulence and seeing of 3/5.

Currently mounted on a S / C 11" with electronic filters wheel (RGBL + OIII, Ha and SII), electronic focuser and barlow 2x Celestron Ultima or 5x Televue.
