Recent Solar Activity Imaged with DMK 21AU04.AS

The last couple weeks have seen an up-tick in solar activity, of particular note are the near continuous flares in AR11302. The flare activity was apparent even before the active region moved into view on the eastern limb, as can be seen in images containing post flare loops. Even when AR11302 appeared to be quiet, close examination showed various flaring and surging in and around the sunspots. Fascinating stuff!

All imaging was done with my workhorse DMK 21AU04.AS on a H-alpha system utilizing a 4 inch ED refractor @ f/28 and Daystar ION 0.8A filter. Imaging from my suburban backyard in Livermore CA.

Sunny Skies!
