Schuster Continues with Fascinating Moon Photos

Prof. Dr. Michael Schuster sent us an e-mail last week, enclosed with two stunning pictures of the Moon. His camera is a DMK 41AU02.AS (1280 x 960 pixels).

Here is the quote of his mail:

It's still silly season for amateur astronomers in middle Europe, so I decided to post some more pictures of my lunar series recorded with my DMK 41AU02.AS in August 2010. The camera was mounted to a Celestron C 9.25 telescope using a 2x barlow lens. The pictures are a little bit dark, because they show lunar formations near the terminator. Nevertheless, the low angle illumination near the terminator produces an interesting, somewhat eerie atmosphere…
