Yesterday (20.Jan.2011) Jupiter was shining around 30° up in the southwest and the GRS showed up from 18:00 UT. Later the giant gas planet orbited to the central meridian at about 19:50 UT.
Am not sure if any of you will send us some pictures of Jupiter on last evening. But we received two fabulous Jupiter photos half a month ago. The photos were taken by Mitchell Duke, astrophotographer from North Carolina, USA. He managed to take the shot on 30.Aug.2010 with his DMK 21AU04.AS camera and Celestron 14 telescope.
