Lunar Images

French astronomy amateur Serge Tedesco took the following lunar images with his DMK 31AU03.AS astronomy camera on 13th of August, 2009. He really got some stunning pictures on his first attempt of the moon.

I translated his in e-mail as below:

C8 (203/2000) + home-made mount + Orange filter + x2 Barlow (0.24 "/ pixel)

Wavelets processed 250 images out of 1200 with Registrax

The moon was at the altitude of 50° and the turbulence was weak around 04:30 local. The image of Clavius was good and lots of craters were continuously visible.

I think I can still get better resolution with barlow quality (current resolution around 0.65 ") and more stable night sky.

Merci Serge! Look forward to more brilliant pictures from you!
