Southern California Astronomy Expo 2010

The sixth Southern California Astronomy Exposition is taking place on July 10 and July 17, 2010. There will be Special Sales, Swap Market, and Star Party on those two days. The Imaging Source' American distributor and event organizer - Oceanside Photo & Telescope - will be selling our astronomy cameras at a special discount.

Total Solar Eclipse of 2010 July 11

The Total Solar Eclipse is visible on July 11, 2010, in a narrow path cross the South Pacific, covering Tuamotu in French Polynesia, Easter Island, and the very southern part of Chile and Argentina. Anyone who will be there is welcome to send us pictures taken with your astronomy camera.

Mosaic Image of the Moon

Luís Campos sent us a mosaic image of the moon two months ago. Luis is a Portuguese amateur astronomer and, according to himself, a "proud owner of a DMK 21AU04.AS camera".

Jérôme Delpau captured a remarkable view of ISS transiting the Sun with a DMK 31AU03.AS on May 19, 2010. You can practically see the shuttle Atlantis between the solar panels.
