AstronomyCameras.com Now Available in Italian!

After several months work, The Imaging Source is delighted to announce that the Astronomy Cameras web site is available in Italian! As ever, all translation work was done by an Italian native speaker.

AviStack: the New Wavelet Tool

Joe Zawodny and his co-workers have added a wavelet enhancement tool to the latest version of AviStack (V1.74). The free astronomy imaging software now fully supports the Astronomy Cameras, manufactured by The Imaging Source.

Web Site of 'Projekt Astrotech Hannover'

Wolfgang Paech, a German amateur astronomer, wrote to us recently to introduce the official web site of the 'Projekt Astrotech Hannover'. This one-year-long project was funded by University of Hanover, and conducted by Wolfgang Paech and his colleagues in the Rooisand Desert Ranch, Namibia, in 2007. He has published dozens of fabulous planetary images on the site.

Christoph Schäfer is a Swiss amateur astrophotographer. One of his latest solar pictures, taken with The Imaging Source DMK 41AU02.AS camera, was featured as the "Picture of the Week" at the German astronomy forum Astronomie.de.

Jupiter Images and Animation by Mike Salway

Mike Salway, one of the most active members in the Astronomy Cameras online community, has sent us a stunning image sequence and animation of Jupiter from Australia. He took those pictures with The Imaging Source Monochrome CCD camera - DMK 21AU04.AS.
