Price Reduction of 31 Series

We are delighted to announce that we have just reduced the price of the 31 series of USB 2.0 and FireWire astronomy cameras. The cameras in question have "31" in their product code and ship with a 1/3" CCD, 1024x768 resolution and 30 fps.

Linux Driver Unicap 0.2.22 Released

UCView is a very popular capture application for Linux, which is ideally suited to capturing live video streams from The Imaging Source astronomy cameras. The application utilizes unicap, which has just been released in version 0.2.22.

Christian and Peter Wellmann are two amateur astronomers, based in Munich, Germany. In the past few months, they have been testing The Imaging Source astronomy cameras and recently sent us some of their first results. Their photo of Ptolemaeus is very spectacular.

Solar Prominences Captured with DMK 31AF03.AS

Didier Favre, an amateur astronomer based in France has submitted a magnificent image of some solar prominences, which he captured with his astronomy camera. He is the initiator of the international solar database, which collects information about the Sun.

The astronomy society "Saint-Michel, Village du Ciel" in Vendée, France has recently published a detailed test report on IC Capture.AS and The Imaging Source astronomy cameras. The article contains a great image of Saturn and a couple of deep sky images.
