Astronomy Cameras Blog -- Now in Chinese!

The Imaging Source is proud to announce that we have just launched a Simplified Chinese version of the Astronomy Cameras Blog. The blog is maintained by our Chinese colleague Xiao Sun and is intended to strengthen the community amongst our Chinese speaking customers.

NASA: Vanishing Rings of Saturn by DMK 21AF04

On March 18, 2008, the web site SCIENCE@NASA published an article about a disturbing astronomical phenomena: Many astronomers, both professional and amateur alike, have noticed that the rings of Saturn are vanishing. The proof was captured by a DMK 21AF04.

Detailed Test Report in Italian Magazine

The Imaging Source astronomy cameras are well known in Italy. The Italian magazine Coelum ASTRONOMIA published a great report about the DMK 31AF04.AS in their April 2007 issue. The article was written in co-operation with Italy-based reseller Centro ottico San Marco.

DMK 31AF03 Captures the Sun

Pierre-Alain Arnaud is an amateur astronomer based in France. He recently sent us a couple of images of the Sun, which he captured with The Imaging Source FireWire camera DMK 31AF04. They depict a prominence and active zone.

Planetary Nebulae, Captured in Rome (Italy)

The amateur astronomer Alberto Di Stazio sent us two images of planetary nebulae (NGC 7662, Blue Snowball Nebula and NGC 2392, Eskimo Nebula). They were captured in Rome, using a DBK 21AF04.AS cameras, despite very high light pollution.

Saturn with Its Moons

Stephen Roche, an amateur astronomer based in Ireland sent us an image of Saturn, upon which he has superimposed its moons. The images were captured with the DMK 31AF03.AS astronomy camera, manufactured by The Imaging Source. The result is spectacular!
