There has been a lot of discussion and speculation recently that The Imaging Source may or may not be working on an astronomy camera fitted with a Sony ICX618 chip.

Today, I would like to end this speculation.

I can confirm, that we are working on an astronomy camera with a Sony ICX618 chip.

We will be releasing the camera, as soon as we are convinced that it runs perfectly. At the moment, however, we do not have a shipping date.

We will post details here in the blog, as and when they become available.
