This is a four-panel mosaic of the sun, taken on Monday, August 1, from Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. It shows four large sunspot groups (from left) numbers 1263, 1261, 1260, and 1265. I used an The Imaging Source DMK 31AF03.AS FireWire camera attached to the axial port of a Questar Duplex 3.5 and an Identi-view full aperture glass solar filter. I added false color to the monochrome image.

This is a shot of the international space station as it transits the sun on Thursday, March 31, 2011. It is one frame, taken with the same The Imaging Source DMK 31AF03.AS camera, attached to a Sigma 500mm f/4.5 telephoto lens. False color was also added to the monochrome image.
