Orion Nebula in B&W

The following images of Orion Nebula, also know as M42, are submitted by Piotr Maliński, who captures the deep sky images with his DMK 21AF04.AS astronomy camera and 150/750 SkyWatcher Newtonian.

Located south of Orion's belt, M42 is one of the brightest nebulae in the deep sky. The Trapezium Cluster, the most notable features of M42, is situated in the heart of the nebula. The five brightest stars of Trapezium Cluster are within a diameter of 1.5 light years. These factors make the exposure time a tricky thing when photographing this area. In fact, Piotr did some intriguing comparison on the images of M42 with different exposure time and filter setting.
