It has been a while since we had a solar image last time. French amateur Jérôme Grenier took some magnificent pictures with his DMK 31AF03.AS astronomy camera, and made an animation of them.

We translated part of his e-mail as follow:

15 images were taken for every 2 minutes during 1/2hour. I was shooting for an hour, but the second part is degraded by turbulence therefore I did not add (it).

Skywatcher 120/1000 telescope + Baader CERF 110 mm filter + Barlow 3x + DMK 31AF03.AS astronomy camera
